Good Caramel Flavor Without Being Too Sweet

This sea salt caramel flavored coffee has a noticeable caramel flavor but still tastes like regular coffee underneath. It isn’t overly sweet, which I appreciated because some flavored coffees can end up tasting more like syrup than coffee. The flavor is fairly balanced and the caramel comes through without overpowering the cup. I’ve brewed it a few different ways and it has been consistent each time.It works well both black and with a little cream. The flavor holds up without getting bitter, which isn’t always the case with flavored coffees.Overall it’s a solid option if you like caramel flavored coffee and want something that still tastes like coffee rather than just sweet flavoring.

Lovely flavor, good value, amazing aroma

I ordered this coffee to refill our supply. We loved flavored coffees in our espresso machine. The first thing I noticed is that it smells amazing. You can definitely smell the hint of caramel. It brewed beautifully in the espresso machine, and I would agree that it is a medium roast. It is of medium strength. I foamed up some hazelnut creamer and added it. It literally tasted like coffee house coffee. So delicious! The next day, I tried without the flavored creamer and just used milk. It was still tasty, with a hint of caramel, but not nearly as good. I think this is a good value for the money, similar in cost to other flavored coffees we buy, and of good quality and taste.

Great Choice If You Like Flavored Coffee That Still Tastes Like Coffee

I got this Sea Salt Caramel ground coffee and the aroma hits you immediately when you open the bag. It smells warm, slightly sweet, and buttery without being artificial or overwhelming. You can see from the photo I took of the grounds that the grind consistency is nice and even. The coffee brews smoothly with a rich medium roast color and a comforting scent that fills the kitchen. The flavor is exactly what I was hoping for. There is a gentle sweetness and a light caramel note, but it never overpowers the actual coffee taste. I am not a fan of heavily flavored coffees that taste more like dessert than coffee, and this strikes a really nice balance. You still get a true coffee flavor first, with just a subtle hint of sea salt caramel in the background. It tastes smooth with very little bitterness, and it works well both black and with a splash of cream. The flavor feels more refined than many flavored coffees that can come across as overly strong or artificial. It's a good value for the money.

Flavored coffee

Most coffees blends going for fancy flavors end up not tasting good or coming out burnt. No such thing here. A good flavored coffee that lives up to the sweet and salty vibe promise without tasting artificial.Package comes with a 12 oz bag - sealed and intact. You do need a coffee container to store th ecoffee once opened. The bag is about enough size for trying out the blend, and the grind is consistent for drip coffee maker. I would not put it through a high bar pressure espresso machine though.Tried plain and with creamer and works both ways. Brew comes out smooth medium roast with good body and no bitterness even when a bit over‑extracted. The caramel flavor does come through up front, a touch of saltiness is there to keep it from going too cloying. Its the coffee you would go for to change the routine or middle of the day flavor change. I personally liked it more without any creamer. Just go plain without adding any syrups or sugar. The flavor holds its own. Premium feeling coffee without the fancy coffee price tag. Medium roast, fresh flavors, and even ground coffee. Would recommend !

Smooth Coffee with a Light Caramel Aroma

I brewed this sea salt caramel ground coffee using my regular drip coffee maker. The bag is 12 oz and the grounds look evenly milled, which worked well in the filter. When the coffee started brewing, there was a noticeable caramel aroma coming from the cup.The flavor is mild with a gentle caramel note and a small hint of saltiness that comes through after the first sip. It doesn’t taste overly sweet since it’s still regular coffee, just with a flavored profile. I usually drink it black in the morning, and the roast feels balanced without tasting too strong. The bag sealed well after opening and kept the coffee fresh for the next few brews. It’s an easy option when I want something a little different from plain coffee but still simple to prepare in a standard coffee maker.

Great aroma and flavor

If you’re someone who likes flavored coffee, then this is for you. When I first opened the bag, the aroma of the coffee was very strong and smelled like dessert. I brewed it in my drip coffee maker, so it was easy to prepare. The coffee was strong but very smooth and easy to drink. It had a nice balance of natural sweetness between the flavor and the coffee. The entire house smelled like salted caramel, which was an added benefit. It’s only a 12 oz bag, so it’s not the most cost-effective, but it’s worth it as a special treat.

Ground coffee perfect for drip

This is a great ground coffee for a drip brew. The ground isn't too fine or too large, I got a couple good pots of coffee so far out of this bag. The sea salt caramel scent is strong in the bag and when you brew it is has a subtle and fine flavor. It's not weird and artificially tasting in any way whatsoever. I tried it black for taste and it was super subtle and with plain cream and that brought out more of the caramel taste and then when I added vanilla creamer it really brings out those flavors. Just like slightly sweetened and those notes really brighten. For a flavored coffee I think this brand really has that flavoring factor down, another one I tried had a similar deal where the flavors don't taste artificial and weird and I really like that about this brand. The coffee for me was not overly strong, I do like a medium strength and medium roast typically and sometimes light even. I prefer the taste of the bean and not the burn. I think this is a good coffee choice overall. The price seems adequate for what your getting out of this coffee and from this brand. I would recommend on the quality alone.

Smells yummy, tastes OK

I know coffee snobs consider flavored preground coffee to be inferior, but I went into this with an open mind. First, the fragrance is really yummy as soon as I cut open the bag. I brewed 1 oz ground coffee with 9 oz water in a Moka pot on low heat. This usually produces nice strong coffee. I found that this coffee isn't the best ever, but is quite decent. it's a bit acidic for my liking, and a bit less strong than I'd like, but not bitter. It's drinkable black. It's miles ahead of the typical office kitchen Mr. Coffee dishwater.I'm a fan of Vietnamese coffee, which is strong espresso with a generous glug of condensed milk. The coffee needs to be very strong and balanced in flavor to work. This coffee is almost strong enough, but what it lacks in strength it makes up for in fragrance. The caramel notes go ridiculously well with the malty, toasty condensed milk. I'll happily finish the bag.Taste: 4/5Smell: 5/5

Very palatable, even black

This is a very good, high quality coffee. It seems true to roast as being more on the mild end. As soon as you open the bag, the sweet scent of the vanilla caramel perfumes the air. I was immediately impressed.Black, you kind of get the the flavor on the back end of the sip once you swallow. The aroma from the bag was definitely stronger than after brewing. The buttery notes come through giving it a richness. You can also catch a bit of the vanilla notes in the back of your nose. The actual front end is definitely bitter, but not burnt. The coffee is not very acidic either. It's very drinkable because of it.Milky and sweet is quite a treat. I did nothing particularly special. Using just milk and sweetener, it came across as very vanilla. The caramel note was a bit lost. I added just a tiny bit of salt in as well, which cut out some bitterness. It gave more of a sea salt caramel vibe prepared that way. Still more vanilla forward than anything. It was less coffee and more dessert prepared this way, but that's not a bad thing. It says on the bag "espresso". I would never use this coarse of a grind for espresso, but did for science. It worked about as well as expected. Not great. You need to grind this finer for a real espresso shot. It was serviceable at least, and not a total failure. My judging for these things comes down to "Can I drink this black, and enjoy it?". Even in a poor espresso format, the answer was yes. It seems reasonably priced as well. This definitely falls into the try it at least once to see if you like it category.

Very light, but when doubled up I really liked the flavor.

Very light coffee. I found that I needed to double up and use 3-4 tablespoons of this coffee to produce a strong pour over cup of coffee. That being said, at this stronger level I think this tasted very good and I enjoyed the caramel flavor. I found this was consistently ground and for both pour over and drip coffee makers it worked well. Recommended if you like lighter coffee flavors and if you light stronger coffee flavors just double up and you will be happy.

Sweet, Simple, and Worth Brewing

This coffee genuinely surprised me. The aroma alone makes it worth it, filling the kitchen with that sea salt caramel scent the moment it starts brewing. The flavor is sweet but well-balanced, nothing artificial or cloying about it. I'm someone who drinks my coffee as-is without loading it up with creamers or sweeteners, and this held up perfectly on its own, which isn't something I can say about most flavored coffees. The one area I'd love to see improved is the caffeine kick. It's decent, but if you're relying on your morning cup to really wake you up, this might leave you wanting a little more punch. That said, if you're after a smooth, flavorful brew that doesn't need any doctoring, this is a solid pick.

Tasty!

This coffee is flavorful and mild. No acid, not too salty. Best at full strength. I added a bit of honey and cream. Smell, appearance and flavor were all good. Note the bag does not have a vent port or resealing tape or wire.

Decent brew, not as sweet as I hoped it would be.

I was really excited to try Gold Coffee Sea Salt Caramel, and while the quality is definitely there, the flavor was a bit more bitter than I expected. The 100% Arabica beans taste fresh and smooth overall, but the sea salt caramel flavor doesn’t come through as sweet as I hoped ,it leans more toward a bold, slightly bitter profile. If you enjoy a stronger, less sweet flavored coffee, you’ll probably like this. I found it better with a splash of creamer to balance it out. Not bad, just not as dessert-like as I anticipated.

Smells Like Dessert, Tastes Like Coffee…

The aroma of this Sea Salt Caramel coffee is incredible right out of the bag. It has a really strong, rich scent of coffee mixed with sweet caramel that makes you want to brew it immediately. However, the flavor doesn't quite carry over as much as I hoped. Once it’s brewed, the caramel notes fade significantly, leaving you with a standard cup of coffee and only a very faint hint of that sweetness in the aftertaste. It wasn’t exactly the flavor explosion I was expecting based on that initial smell. That being said, the actual quality of the coffee is solid. It’s a smooth, enjoyable medium roast that tastes good on its own. If you’re looking for a heavy caramel treat, this might be a bit too subtle, but it’s still a nice bag of coffee to have on hand.

Gold Coffee Sea Salt Caramel Done Right

You know how some flavored coffees smell amazing in the bag but taste like disappointment in the cup. I was slightly prepared for that scenario. But this Gold Coffee Sea Salt Caramel actually delivered. This is a finely ground, 100 percent Arabica coffee, 12 oz bag. Arabica beans are generally prized for their smoother, more nuanced flavor profile compared to Robusta. They tend to have lower bitterness, higher natural sweetness, and more complex aromatics. That matters a lot when you are adding flavoring, because you want a good base coffee underneath the caramel notes. The grind consistency is well suited for drip machines and pour over setups. The particle size appears uniform, which supports even extraction. When you open the bag, the aroma is warm caramel with a subtle salty edge. It smells like you walked into a candy shop that also serves coffee. Once brewed, the caramel becomes softer and more integrated with the coffee base. It does not overpower the roast. Instead, it enhances the natural sweetness of the Arabica. The sea salt note is not literal saltiness. It functions more as a flavor enhancer, similar to how salt intensifies sweetness in desserts. It rounds out the caramel and prevents it from tasting artificial or cloying.Flavored coffees are typically infused after roasting, when the beans are coated with natural or artificial flavor compounds. The key is balance. If the flavor oils are too heavy, they can mask the coffee entirely. If too light, you barely notice them. This blend lands in a sweet spot. The roast level feels medium. There is enough body to carry milk or cream without disappearing, but it is not so dark that it becomes smoky or bitter. I tried it black first to assess the base character. It was smooth, low acidity, and easy to drink. With a splash of milk, the caramel note pops even more.Overall, Gold Coffee Sea Salt Caramel is a well executed flavored coffee. Quality Arabica base, consistent grind, balanced caramel sweetness, and a subtle salty finish that enhances rather than overwhelms.
